Internet service provider license authentication issed by DOT (Department of Telecommunications), ministry of communications under Unified License (UL) and UL-VNO License.
Company Can Apply the ISP License Under Unified License VNO (UL-VNO) License :
The License/Authorization for Internet Service are granted for three different Categories namely Category ‘A’ ISP, Category ‘B’ ISP and Category ‘C’ ISP.
- ISP Category ‘A’ under UL-VNO authorization shall be the National Area.
- ISP Category ‘B’ under UL-VNO authorization shall be the Telecom Circle/Metro area as defined.
- ISP Category ‘C’ under UL-VNO athorization shall be the Secondary Switching Area (SSA) as defined
If the Licensee desires to obtain ISP Category ‘C’ Authorization, under Unified License(VNO), for more than four SSAs in a Telecom Circle, the Licensee shall be required to obtain ISP Category ‘B’ authorization for that Service Area. The Service Area for Category ‘C’ authorization shall be the Secondary Switching Area (SSA) as defined.
Duration of License:
This UL VNO License shall be valid for a period of 10 years from the effective date of this License..
